LOARING PHYSIOTHERAPY IN THE NEWS
Mary Brannagan, Registered Physiotherapist at Loaring, was recently spotlighted in a series of articles in The Windsor Star. Brannagan accompanied two-time world championship medallist Tessa Virtue, to an international ice dancing competition in Paris, France, where Virtue and her partner, Scott Moir, took home the gold.
Virtue credits Brannagan's treatments as vital to keeping her in top competitive form. Brannagan will accompany the pair to Tokyo in December, and the 2010 Olympic Winter Games in Vancouver in February, where they are thought to be one of Canada's best Olympic medal hopefuls. He joins other track & field standouts, such as Donavan Bailey, as one of the inaugural inductees in the Athletics Ontario Hall of Fame. Loaring remains the only male athlete to final in all three 400m track events in any combination of Olympic Games, and, is the only Canadian track athlete to win 3 gold medals at a single Commonwealth Games.
