Johnny Loaring

Johnny Loaring, 1936 Olympic Track and Field Medallist and grandfather of Charlotte &
James Loaring, was recently profiled in the May/June 2009 issue of "Windsor Life Magazine". Read the article "Salute to John Loaring - An Olympic Legend Inspires Proud Memories" written by sports historian and author Kevin Shea here. Johnny Loaring's hurdling style was the inspiration for the Loaring Physiotherapy and LPC hurdler logos.

The Loaring Team at Running from Cancer 
Join the Loaring Team at the 2009 Running From Cancer Event this Sunday, July 26th. Run/Walk options include the 5km, 10km, ½ Marathon, Kid's 1km, and Kid's Dash.

Loaring Physio at  World Alzheimer's Day Run
Loaring Staff will provide medical services again at the 2009 World Alzheimer's Day Run on Saturday, September 19th. The main event is a 100km run done individually or as relay teams comprised of 10 runners. All proceeds to the Alzheimer Society.

LOARING FACILITY OF CHOICE FOR TOP LOCAL ATHLETES

Mary Brannagan
Daniele DeFranceschi

Mary Brannagan, Registered Physiotherapist at Loaring Physiotherapy, was requested as the personal Physiotherapist for local Olympic Figure Skater, Tessa Virtue. Brannagan will accompany Virtue to several local and international competitions during the 2009/2010 season.

Virtue is one of several top-level athletes utilizing services at Loaring.
Windsor's Daniele DeFranceschi will represent Canada next week at the 2009 Pan American Championships in Hidalgo, Mexico in track cycling. With the help of a team of therapists at Loaring, providing physiotherapy, massage, and acupuncture, DeFranceschi earned his Pan Am team spot after successfully recovering from a significant injury in a crash on the track earlier this spring. Loaring Physiotherapy is a designated service provider for Nation Team, Olympic, and Paralympic athletes and coaches, in direct partnership with Canadian Sport Centre (CSC)".


LOARING TO ATTEND EXECUTREK 2009
 Charlotte Loaring
Charlotte Loaring was selected as part of a group of 8 Windsor-Essex business leaders, executives, and management personnel to attend the 2009 ExecuTrek at the Canadian Forces Base in Borden, Ontario. These one-day trips are designed to highlight the special leadership training that Canada's Reservists receive, while often simultaneously continuing with parallel careers in their communities. Loaring Personal Coaching

From junior to master, and beginner to advanced, athletes receiving multi-sport coaching services through LPC have been busy working towards achieving their personal goals.

James Loaring (Head Coach of LPC and NCCP Triathlon Coach) is currently accepting new athletes of all ability levels for web-based coaching programs and instruction.

Jeff Cowan (LPC Technical Swim Coach, NCCP Swim Coach), provides local swim technique and instruction in small groups or one-on-one, with video analysis available.
